Arianne M Collette named Managing Director & Head of US equities
Arianne M. Collette has been appointed as Managing Director and Head of U.S. Equities at Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). She will lead strategic planning and operational initiatives within the organisation's U.S. equities business.
New leadership
This is a newly created position. Collette is responsible for steering growth initiatives, market expansion, and efficiency improvements across DTCC's clearing and settlement infrastructure. Based in Jersey City, she reports directly to Val Wotton, Managing Director and Global Head of Equities Solutions at DTCC.
The appointment highlights DTCC's focus on further developing its U.S. equities capabilities. The organisation plays a central role in post-trade market infrastructure for global financial services, processing securities transactions valued at USD $3.7 quadrillion in 2024.
Industry background
Collette has an extensive background in financial services. Previously, she held senior leadership positions at Morgan Stanley, including Chief Operating Officer and Head of Strategy for Reinvestment, Global Head of Sales Strategy, and Americas Head of Resource Optimization. She also co-founded and serves as global chair of Women in Securities Finance, an industry group promoting diversity and inclusion with more than 1,000 members worldwide.
Operational priorities
DTCC's decision to create and appoint a head for the U.S. equities business reflects operational priorities such as driving efficiency, supporting growth, and enhancing the robustness of financial markets infrastructure. The remit includes overseeing client solutions and workflows to support an increasingly complex equities market.
