AT&T has announced a collaboration with UK's Eseye to enhance global IoT connectivity, selecting Eseye for a new global IoT connectivity solution.
The partnership between AT&T and Eseye focuses on enabling businesses to deploy and scale their IoT solutions globally with greater ease and efficiency. This announcement underpins future developments in smart devices, AI, and IoT innovations, such as remote healthcare and industrial automation.
The centrepiece of this collaboration is the Global SIM Advanced (GSA) solution, a multi-profile eSIM that complements AT&T's existing Global SIM product. This solution promotes reliable and flexible IoT operations worldwide.
GSA utilises Eseye's AnyNet eSIM and the Infinity platform, a sophisticated Connectivity Management Platform designed for eSIM administration. This platform facilitates eSIM orchestration and integrates advanced automation rules to enhance operational efficiency.
AT&T's Global SIM Advanced is powered by the AT&T bootstrap IMSI and can store up to nine additional network profiles on a single eSIM. This capability enables IoT devices to switch networks without needing physical SIM card changes. With multiple network fallback options and over-the-air updates for localised profiles, customer devices maintain connectivity by selecting the best available network. T
The solution includes in-region routing for low-latency applications, which assists customers in maintaining a local experience regardless of their devices' geographic location.
The Global SIM Advanced package also offers value-added services such as device assessment and a path towards new eSIM standards. These services aim to assist business customers in broadening the capabilities of their IoT devices to keep pace with evolving needs.
