Cynomi launches AI agents for MSP cybersecurity work

Fri, 10th Apr 2026

Cynomi has launched AI Insights and co-worker Agents on its cybersecurity platform, expanding its CISO Intelligence infrastructure for managed service providers and related security firms.

The additions target MSPs, MSSPs and virtual Chief Information Security Officer practices that use Cynomi to manage client security work. The update adds an intelligence layer that applies CISO-style decision logic across both service delivery and commercial activity.

The system is designed to generate client-facing outputs and carry out core workflows throughout the service lifecycle. Outputs include policies, remediation plans and executive reports tailored to individual customers.

Cynomi describes the co-worker Agents as a virtual security team made up of a CISO, Auditor, Analyst and Executive Communicator. Each role is embedded in workflows to guide decisions and produce material service providers use in day-to-day work.

According to the company, the CISO role handles strategic prioritisation and senior judgement, while the Auditor checks compliance requirements and sub-controls. The Analyst prepares execution plans, and the Executive Communicator presents findings in language suited to boards and management teams.

Talent Pressure

The launch comes as service providers face a shortage of experienced cybersecurity staff and growing customer demand for strategic advice, risk reduction and ongoing planning. Cynomi's approach is intended to turn specialist knowledge into a software-based process that can be used more broadly across teams.

The move reflects a broader push in cybersecurity software to apply artificial intelligence beyond narrow task automation. Rather than limiting AI to single functions, Cynomi is positioning this new layer as part of a wider operating model for firms that sell outsourced security services.

In practical terms, the platform explains risk, priorities and next steps in real time. It also links security activity with business and revenue outcomes, an area many service providers watch closely as they expand security work across existing client bases.

"CISO Intelligence has always been about embedding expertise into every workflow," said Reut Roich, VP Product Management at Cynomi.

"With our AI Agents, we're making that expertise accessible and actionable so every team member can deliver strategic guidance, not just execute tasks."

Operational Shift

Cynomi says the model shifts work from manual production to expert validation. In practice, the platform drafts outputs and recommendations, leaving staff to review and approve them rather than create each item from scratch.

The company argues this could help providers maintain consistency without adding as many senior staff. For MSPs and MSSPs, that matters because security advisory work often depends on experienced practitioners who are difficult and expensive to recruit.

The update is also framed around four principles: ease of use, empowered expertise, operational efficiency and growth enablement. Intelligence is embedded directly into workflows, removing the need for separate prompting tools while helping less senior staff work with guidance associated with experienced security leaders.

The growth element focuses on identifying new opportunities within customer accounts. By connecting client context, delivery activity and commercial insight, service providers can identify where additional services may be needed and support broader account expansion.

Longer-Term Plan

Cynomi says the launch is a step towards more autonomous security operations. Its longer-term plan is for providers to set workflow parameters and have reports, deliverables and insights generated and updated automatically in the background.

That vision points to a model in which security teams spend less time on routine preparation and more on oversight, exception handling and customer engagement. It also suggests a stronger role for software in standardising how outsourced security advice is delivered across client portfolios.

David Primor, Cynomi's chief executive officer, outlined that goal in the announcement.

"We will empower every MSP with an intelligent, scalable operation where expertise is always on," said Primor.

"Security delivery shouldn't depend on how many experts you can hire, it should be encoded into the system itself, so that every analyst on your team operates with the judgment of a senior CISO, on every client, every time."
