DataOne & Northeast Precast partner for AI data centres

Fri, 28th Mar 2025

DataOne USA has formed a partnership with Northeast Precast to expedite the establishment of giga-scale AI data centres in North America.

This collaboration sees Northeast Precast taking a minority shareholder position in DataOne USA, which is part of the DataOne Group, an AI data centre specialist. The partnership will leverage Northeast Precast's expertise in concrete manufacturing in the construction of these data centres.

Charles-Antoine Beyney, CEO of DataOne, spoke positively of the alliance, stating, "I have been fortunate to start and successfully exit several businesses, so I know how to recognize extraordinary people. Driven, exceptionally smart, passionate, humble, and hardworking - this defines Lorie Ruga and John Ruga at Northeast Precast."

"It is an honour for Michael Ourabah, my business partner of 20 years and co-founder of BSO, the company DataOne emerged from, and me to welcome them as partners in our newly founded American data centre venture. Thanks to Rob Faktorow and Henry Gray from CBRE for the introduction, we have not just secured the necessary land but also found extraordinary business partners."

The initiative is based on mutual values of excellence and rapid deployment, with Northeast Precast being a prominent figure in the precast concrete industry in the United States. Lorie and John Ruga have been pivotal in the company's development over the past two decades.

John Ruga, CEO of Northeast Precast, commented on the partnership, "Our decision reflects a shared commitment to executing at blazing speeds, setting new industry standards, and meeting the evolving demands of AI-driven computing. Lorie and I are honoured to join this incredible team led by Charles-Antoine Beyney and Michael Ourabah. Charles and Michael bring a passion and drive that we can truly relate to, just like our valued employees at Northeast Precast that have embraced every challenge that we've overcome the past 20 years."

The new partnership also signifies a major development for New Jersey, as one of the initial AI data centres under this collaboration is planned for Vineland. Local government officials have expressed their support for this project.

Vineland Mayor Anthony Fanucci stated, "Since taking office, one of our policy priorities has been to develop a smart-city infrastructure program. In fact, as part of this effort, we have created a Municipal Broadband Utility which is focused on digital inclusion and economic growth. Communities that have done so have reaped the benefits through improved productivity in government and business operations, new business development, and new job opportunities for local residents. We are thrilled that DataOne USA and Northeast Precast have selected Vineland as a location to host their cutting edge AI data centre. It truly represents a new era of technology infrastructure."

DataOne has announced an ambitious timeline for deploying these AI infrastructures, aiming to complete projects in just 20 weeks. In a short period, the DataOne Group has already attracted several notable clients, including Core42, Nebius, and DXC Technology.

Charles-Antoine Beyney concluded the announcement with a forward-looking statement: "This joint venture is more than just a business partnership. It's a movement toward building the next generation of AI-ready, ultra-efficient, and rapidly deployable data centres. By combining DataOne USA's technological expertise with Northeast Precast's superior engineering and manufacturing capabilities, this collaboration is set to challenge outdated industry norms and propel North America into a new era of AI-driven infrastructure."
