Gallagher names Rimbert to lead US federal growth push

Tue, 17th Mar 2026

Gallagher Security has hired Mariah Rimbert as Federal Business Development Manager for the Americas, creating a new role within its Government Programs team as it targets more business with US federal agencies.

Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Rimbert will develop relationships across the West Coast and Midwest, where federal security requirements span defence, energy, research and critical infrastructure.

The hire reflects Gallagher's push to broaden its footprint beyond the East Coast, where federal procurement and programme management are often concentrated. While many agencies centralise contracting around Washington, DC, and surrounding states, operational sites and sensitive facilities are spread nationwide.

Federal focus

Rimbert will work with federal agencies and industry partners on access control and intrusion detection systems, which manage entry to secured areas and monitor for unauthorised access. These technologies are widely used across government campuses, laboratories and other controlled environments.

Gallagher sells integrated security platforms that combine hardware, software and services, serving public and private sector customers, including government and defence organisations, according to its corporate information.

Rimbert previously worked at Sandia National Labouratories, a US government-owned facility with a long-standing role in national security research and engineering. Her work included evaluating emerging technologies, supporting testing and validation, and collaborating with vendors and systems integrators.

That background aligns with common procurement and deployment practices in the federal security market. Agencies and national laboratories often require formal testing and validation before new technology can be used in controlled areas, and systems integrators play a key role in design, installation and compliance documentation.

Regional expansion

Gallagher is positioning the role around regional relationship building, with an emphasis on the western United States. The West Coast and broader US West include major defence and aerospace sites, national laboratories, ports and logistics hubs, and large-scale public infrastructure. The Midwest includes government facilities, manufacturing and transportation networks that can fall under federal security rules or federal grant-funded upgrades.

Rimbert said she expects to build on existing contacts while extending the company's reach in both regions.

"I'm really excited to build on the relationships we already have across the West Coast and Midwest," Rimbert said.

She also pointed to an imbalance in federal account coverage.

"While many government customers are concentrated on the East Coast, there are so many opportunities in regions we haven't fully engaged yet. I'm looking forward to strengthening those connections and developing new partnerships," she said.

The role also includes a technology focus. Federal security programmes often modernise incrementally, creating demand for products that integrate with existing credentialing, identity management and alarm monitoring systems.

"One of the things I enjoy most is looking at emerging technologies and figuring out how they integrate with the systems our customers already rely on," Rimbert said. "I'm excited to help expand those capabilities and continue building relationships across the federal space."

Team build-out

Jeff Fields, Director of Government Programs at Gallagher Security, said the hire fits federal accounts that require experience in high-security settings and familiarity with how agencies buy and deploy security technology.

"Mariah's experience in high security federal environments and her deep understanding of access control and intrusion detection systems will add tremendous value to both our team and our partners," Fields said.

He added that the role is also about long-term engagement with agencies and their supplier ecosystems.

"Just as importantly, she understands the relationships and trust that underpin success in the federal space. We're incredibly excited to have her join the team and help expand our presence in the western United States," he said.

Gallagher's Government Programs operation sits within its broader Americas business, which serves public sector and commercial customers. The company said the appointment reflects its ongoing focus on federal agencies and partnerships across the Americas.
