Global Tech Advocates celebrates decade of fostering innovation

Global Tech Advocates is marking its 10th anniversary with celebrations attended by technology sector leaders in Copenhagen.

Since its establishment in 2015, Global Tech Advocates (GTA) has grown to encompass more than 30,000 members representing 48 technology hubs across six continents. The organisation brings together a diverse set of stakeholders, including startups, scaleups, corporates, policymakers, and academics, with the objective of fostering knowledge sharing and cross-border collaboration within the global technology sector.

GTA's tenth anniversary event is taking place at Copenhagen City Hall, hosted by the city's Mayor, and is drawing around 300 influential figures from the technology industry, entrepreneurial community and policy field. The gathering is focused on exploring the impact of emerging technologies on global innovation and the transformation of industries over the last decade.

As part of the commemoration of its decade-long journey, GTA is unveiling the Global Launch Pad. This new platform is designed to assist scaling companies in entering and expanding into international markets. The initiative has been introduced at a time when rapid technological developments, such as artificial intelligence, and shifting geopolitical conditions present new challenges and opportunities for businesses operating globally.

The organisation highlights the significance of global cooperation, particularly amid current economic uncertainty and heightened trade tensions. It emphasises the need for collaboration that bridges public and private sectors, as well as established and emerging economies, to benefit technological advancement and business development.

GTA networks operate within major technology cities and regions, with each network forming sub-groups dedicated to specific industry initiatives and sectors. The community is comprised of technology leaders, experts, and investors who volunteer their time to support peer organisations, create new connections and engage in campaigning efforts to address sector-wide challenges.

Global Tech Advocates continues to position itself as a conduit for international collaboration, aiming to inspire its members to take active roles in shaping the direction of technological development worldwide. The network's ongoing mission is to promote open and accessible ecosystems that allow for the exchange of expertise and the acceleration of innovation across national boundaries.
