New Relic revamps partner programme with AI & incentives

Thu, 17th Apr 2025

New Relic has announced enhancements to its partner programme, aimed at supporting business growth and enabling agentic AI use cases in the enterprise through an expanded open partnership ecosystem.

The updated programme incorporates new financial incentives, simplified certifications, additional resources, expanded training opportunities, and specialised partnership tracks. New Relic intends these changes to improve partner profitability and deliver observability capabilities across a broader set of enterprise technology solutions.

The New Relic Partner Program, including solution providers, managed service providers, technology partners, system integrators, and cloud platform providers, is designed to allow partners to develop integrated solutions with the New Relic Intelligent Observability Platform. This approach seeks to connect New Relic's observability data and insights to customers through the systems and tools they currently use.

Chief Executive Officer Ashan Willy said, "Our open partner ecosystem has been instrumental in fuelling innovations and growth of the New Relic Intelligent Observability Platform. As we continue our growth trajectory and fine-tune our platform for today's IT environment, we know we cannot do it without our partners. That is why we've renewed our investment in the people, tools, and systems, making partnering with New Relic even more rewarding. Together with our partners, we look forward to continuing to grow, innovate, and create lasting value for our joint customers."

In the Asia-Pacific region, the latest programme enhancements are positioned as key enablers for local channel growth. Simon Lee, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific and Japan, stated, "As Asia-Pacific embraces a resilient and connected future, strong partner ecosystems are critical to innovation and long-term growth. Our newly enhanced channel partner program reflects this shift, offering expanded incentives, new certifications, and targeted resources to help partners grow with confidence. With a strengthened partner team and an ecosystem-centric approach, we're excited to help our partners in APAC accelerate growth, unlock new revenue streams, and deliver unmatched customer experiences across the region."

Specific enhancements to the programme include stronger financial incentives intended to increase partner revenue opportunities and margins, the introduction of four new technical certifications and two new sales certifications, a fourfold increase in the size of the New Relic partner support team, and the implementation of new technology platforms such as Partner Relationship Management (PRM) and Configure Price Quote (CPQ) systems. The company has also appointed Larissa Crandall as Channel Chief and Group Vice President of Partner and Alliances to further grow the partner organisation and define strategy.

Training opportunities have been expanded for both sales and technical teams, particularly focusing on AI, observability, and cloud capabilities, to enable partners to address critical customer business challenges. New specialised programme tracks have also been introduced to support joint marketing efforts, sales enablement, and a tailored approach to different industry verticals.

New Relic is positioning its partners to take advantage of growing demand for artificial intelligence capabilities by introducing AI-focused sales enablement and agentic AI integrations. These include partnerships and integrations with Amazon Q Business, GitHub Copilot for Microsoft Azure, Google Gemini, ServiceNow, and DeepSeek. Through these integrations, IT teams and developers can receive observability data and recommendations embedded directly in their workflows and platforms.

For example, Amazon Q Business enhances engineering outcomes with agentic insights and task automation based on in-memory analysis of shared retrieval augmented generation (RAG) data. GitHub Copilot aims to automatically detect issues and help developers address code errors to improve reliability. Google Gemini assists in monitoring deployments and application performance, while ServiceNow draws observability insights into workflows such as customer support and system change analysis. The integration with DeepSeek is highlighted as the only observability integration in the market, which, according to New Relic, is intended to accelerate AI adoption and return on investment.

The company reports 20 new innovations and integrations in its Intelligent Observability Platform in recent months, with AI-strengthened intelligence and automation extended throughout its offerings. New Relic claims these advances provide comprehensive intelligence by integrating RAG methods with customer and third-party data sources, enabling new features such as Transaction 360, Cloud Cost Intelligence, and Streaming Video & Ads Intelligence for digital performance and reliability management.

Juan Carlos Martínez, Senior Director at NTT DATA, commented, "Our customers aim to leverage AIOps to optimize IT operations, enhance efficiency, and proactively mitigate disruptions. However, they face challenges in identifying the most impactful tools and strategies to maximize their observability investments. Having the opportunity to deliver our customers the New Relic Intelligent Observability Platform gives us an edge as it solves these challenges. I'm confident that New Relic, its enhanced partner team and program resources, will set us up to be valuable AI partners to current and future customers."
