Assured Data Protection expands Tony Giannini’s remit
Assured Data Protection has expanded Tony Giannini's remit, adding responsibility for channel strategy across the Americas to his existing global innovation brief.
The managed services provider said Giannini will serve as Global Vice President of Innovation and Vice President of Channels, Americas. The role brings product innovation and partner execution under one leadership structure, covering North America, Canada and Latin America.
Giannini previously held the title of Vice President, Global Innovation. Assured said the expanded remit places innovation, product strategy and partner engagement under a single organisation.
Channel focus
Assured said the channel strategy in the Americas will centre on partner onboarding for new managed services, alignment with MSP-led consumption models, and support for hybrid and multi-platform environments. The company also cited continued investment in 24/7 support across multiple channels and languages.
The company positions itself as a managed services provider focused on data protection, disaster recovery and cyber resilience. It said demand continues to rise for fully managed offerings in these areas.
Innovation link
Assured said it expects the combined structure to reduce separation between product development and partner delivery. It described a feedback loop between partners and the innovation pipeline.
Giannini linked the approach to speed and partner input.

Assured said the structure also covers partner readiness for new services across its portfolio. It cited recent and upcoming innovations tied to hybrid and multi-platform environments, without detailing product releases.
Americas execution
The company said it will pursue what it called balanced growth across its partner ecosystem. It said this will sharpen focus on partners aligned with Assured's managed services model and its core technology alliances.
Assured also said it will continue work with national partners in the US while developing more regional and mid-market relationships. It pointed to major US cities as target areas for partner development.
The company said it also plans targeted expansion in Canada and Latin America. It described investment in partner enablement and local market engagement in those markets.
Brian Dutton, who leads revenue in the region, framed the move as part of a longer-term partner approach and an operational support model.

Partner metrics
Assured said its channel model prioritises long-term relationships rather than transactional engagements. It said it works with partners through sales cycles and throughout service delivery.
The company said its customer success teams operate as an extension of partner organisations. It linked the model to low customer churn and customer satisfaction scores that it said approach 100%, without providing a timeframe or a third-party benchmark.
Giannini said partners evaluate Assured on delivery and consistency over time.

Assured said Giannini brings more than a decade of senior channel leadership experience. It said he has held national and global channel leadership roles across the MSP, reseller and alliance ecosystem. The company said his background includes building partner programmes, working with distributors and technology partners, and aligning channel execution with MSP go-to-market models.
Assured said the expanded leadership structure reflects growth and a focus on execution across its channel ecosystem in the Americas.
