Blackstone eIT & Nintex launch AI platform for risk control

Today

Blackstone eIT and Nintex have formed a partnership to develop an AI-powered platform designed to improve real-time risk detection and response for healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, and retail businesses.

The platform integrates Blackstone eIT's AI vision and edge intelligence with Nintex's workflow automation technology, aiming to enhance operational risk management, safety, and compliance processes.

According to information provided, the platform acts as a continuous digital supervisor, leveraging artificial intelligence to monitor for issues such as missing personal protective equipment (PPE), physical hazards, and unsafe behaviours within the workplace. Equipped with IoT sensors, it tracks the status of production lines, detecting events such as equipment failure, overheating, or abnormal vibrations.

Nintex's workflow automation capabilities create and manage alerts, implement corrective actions, and generate full audit trails based on insights gathered from computer vision and IoT sensors within the platform. This process aims to reduce the need for manual monitoring and helps businesses maintain audit-ready records.

Noumane Zerouali, Vice President of Business Development and Go-To-Market at Blackstone eIT, commented, "Our mission is to make real-time AI practical and actionable across industries. By embedding intelligence at the edge and pairing it with Nintex's workflow automation engine, we're delivering a platform that doesn't just detect problems but one that helps solve them, quickly. For the first time, businesses across many industries can reduce operational and safety risks with unprecedented speed and accuracy."

The technology is also designed to increase workplace security and compliance. It can identify unauthorised access or breaches and spot hazards such as spills or blocked exits using computer vision. The platform responds by issuing corrective actions, including automatically dispatching cleaning crews, which can improve incident resolution times and support regulatory compliance.

Christian Lucarelli, Vice President and Head of Global Partner Strategy at Nintex, said, "At their core, risk, safety, and compliance are process problems. By combining AI-powered insights from Blackstone eIT with intelligent workflow automation from Nintex, businesses now have a powerful platform that enables users to easily manage risk, reduce costs, and increase compliance."

The collaboration is targeted at sectors where operational and safety risks are significant, including food and convenience retail, healthcare, logistics, and manufacturing. The intended outcomes include more efficient operations, reduced operational costs, and the ability to scale oversight across multiple sites.

The partnership also aims to support organisations in meeting increasing regulatory and safety requirements by providing comprehensive and accessible digital audit trails.
