Dell & NVIDIA enhance AI tech with new server offerings

Today

Dell Technologies has announced new advancements in infrastructure, software, and services in collaboration with NVIDIA, aiming to accelerate enterprise AI innovation across scales.

The Dell PowerEdge servers will now support the NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra platform, including future products like the NVIDIA HGX B300 NVL16, and provide systems with significant memory capabilities to handle complex AI models efficiently.

The upcoming Dell PowerEdge XE7740 and XE7745 servers, available through the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA, are currently equipped with NVIDIA H200 NVL GPUs and offer a five-year subscription to NVIDIA AI Enterprise software.

Dell is also introducing the PowerEdge XE8712 server, which features the GB200 NVL4 platform powering the next generation of accelerated AI compute, showcasing robust capacities for AI model training and complex high-performance computing simulations.

Furthermore, Dell is enhancing its Dell Pro Max high-performance AI PC portfolio, which includes products like the GB10 and GB300 models.

These units bring server-level computing capability to desktop environments, providing extensive computational power suitable for demanding AI development tasks.

The new Dell Pro Max options are crafted to meet varied market needs, from analytics to large-scale AI training, serving as a bridge for developers and researchers to handle intensive workloads directly from their desktops. These PCs incorporate the latest NVIDIA RTX PRO Blackwell Generation GPUs and various modern processors to ensure high-speed performance and reliability.

Steve Young, UK Senior Vice President and Managing Director of Dell Technologies, stated, "Together with NVIDIA, we're committed to simplifying AI innovation for customers. We're excited to introduce our expanded portfolio within the AI Factory, designed to support the next wave of enterprise AI innovation. Most excitingly, this now includes simplification of Agentic AI deployments, which is an innovation set to impact businesses significantly and contribute to real human progress."

The AI Factory with NVIDIA aims to deliver a streamlined approach to AI infrastructure and deployment, emphasising consistency across AI capabilities.

This collaboration provides a comprehensive solution for enterprises, enhancing their ability to leverage AI from small-scale operations to extensive data centre deployments.

Dell's AI Data Platform, enhanced by NVIDIA technologies, is also a crucial piece of their joint offering, facilitating the secure and efficient deployment of AI applications. It integrates with NVIDIA's AI Enterprise Platform and supports robust data management capabilities, facilitating enterprises in unlocking their data's potential.

As part of these developments, Dell has introduced several new solutions and services designed to support expanded AI capabilities. These include the integration of NVIDIA's AI-Q Blueprint and AgentIQ Toolkit to simplify AI deployments, alongside a range of specialised services tailored for AI code assistance and generation.

Louise Quennell, Senior Director, Client Solutions Group, Dell Technologies, UK remarked, "High-performance PCs, like the Dell Pro Max with NVIDIA Grace Blackwell superchips, will push boundaries and tackle the world's toughest challenges."

"These AI PCs won't just automate routine tasks – they'll be able to deliver server-level compute on a desktop. Data scientists will preprocess data, run exploratory data analysis and train machine learning models. AI developers will build, test and deploy AI models into software applications. And AI researchers will run simulations, develop new algorithms and perform large-scale experiments, all at their desk. Such high-velocity AI capabilities on a device are a game changer for innovation."

Michael Dell, Chief Executive Officer of Dell Technologies, commented, "We are celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA by doubling down on our mission to simplify AI for the enterprise. With seamless NVIDIA hardware and software from desktop to data center, only Dell delivers the consistency and reliability organizations need to support AI initiatives. We are breaking down barriers to AI adoption, speeding up deployments, and helping enterprises integrate AI into their operations."

Jensen Huang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NVIDIA, stated, "Every industry is racing to build AI factories to produce intelligence. NVIDIA and Dell are partnering to deliver the industry's broadest, end-to-end AI infrastructure, giving enterprises everything they need to develop, deploy and scale AI. From deskside workstations to data center-scale AI factories, this platform will power the next wave of AI-driven breakthroughs."
