EisnerAmper adopts Caseware audit suite across practice
Fri, 26th Jun 2026 (Today)
EisnerAmper has adopted Caseware's Dynamic Assurance Solution suite across its assurance practice, with more than 1,100 professionals now using the system.
The move gives the firm a single audit platform for preparation, compilation and review engagements, as well as employee benefit plan audits. It has already completed more than 1,500 client engagements on the system.
According to Caseware, the platform integrates risk assessment, workpapers, financial reporting, and related workflows into a single cloud-based environment. The software was developed through a collaboration among the American Institute of CPAs, CPA.com and Caseware, with a focus on a more standardised, risk-based audit process.
For EisnerAmper, the rollout spans a broad assurance business serving clients in sectors including financial services, private equity, real estate, life sciences and technology. A common audit approach across those verticals has become increasingly important for firms seeking to maintain a consistent methodology while managing different engagement types.
Phillip Austin, Partner-in-Charge of EisnerAmper's National Office and Chief Risk Officer for Assurance, said standardisation was a priority.
"Implementing a unified audit solution has been essential so that every audit, regardless of industry, follows the same high standards and risk-focused methodology," Austin said.
"Our goal was to drive audit quality, efficiency and a better client experience, while meeting the complexity of our clients' businesses and our profession's rigorous standards," he added.
Phased rollout
Rather than switching systems all at once, EisnerAmper introduced the platform in phases to provide staff with more training and support during the transition.
CPA.com worked with the accounting firm on implementation and training. The organisation is an affiliate of the AICPA and was one of the collaborators involved in developing the DAS suite.
Jess Estrella, Assurance Technology and Innovation Leader for EisnerAmper's assurance practice, said the transition prioritised preparation over speed. "We invested in robust training, pilot projects and change management so our people were well prepared," Estrella said.
"Professional readiness was prioritised over speed, allowing our teams to embrace the new platform without disrupting service quality," she added.
The platform is designed to reduce reliance on separate tools and manual steps by consolidating engagement data and audit checklists into a single system. EisnerAmper said that should help auditors spend more time on higher-risk areas rather than administrative work.
The adoption also has a longer-term technology component. Caseware said EisnerAmper plans to use the platform as the foundation for agentic artificial intelligence tools within audit workflows.
David Marquis, Chief Executive Officer of Caseware, linked the customer win to the company's broader product strategy and investment plans. "As EisnerAmper looked to build a future-ready foundation, it chose DAS powered by Caseware Verity to meet the needs of a multi-vertical practice at scale," Marquis said.
"Our $100 million investment in Caseware Verity ensures leading firms like EisnerAmper have a trusted, governed platform to build AI-enabled workflows, drive efficiency and unlock growth in the agentic age," he added.
Broader market
The announcement reflects a broader push in the accounting software market to more closely link audit methodology, documentation and reporting, while preparing firms for greater use of automation and AI. Large accounting firms have been under pressure to show that technology investments can improve consistency and quality across complex client portfolios, not just reduce back-office work.
EisnerAmper is one of the larger accounting and advisory firms in the US, with more than 4,500 employees and over 450 partners. Caseware said it serves more than 23,000 firms in over 130 countries.
Kalil Merhib, Executive Vice President, Growth & Professional Services at CPA.com, said the implementation stood out for the way it was managed internally. "EisnerAmper's success is a direct reflection of the intentionality they brought to this rollout," Merhib said.
"From the start, they invested in strong champion leadership, a methodical change management approach and a genuine commitment to embracing everything DAS has to offer. That kind of organizational discipline, combined with the collaborative partnership we've built together, is what drives real adoption - and it's what sets EisnerAmper apart," he added.
