Elastic signs multi-year deal with Audi Revolut F1
Wed, 4th Nov 2026 (Yesterday)
Elastic has signed a multi-year partnership with Audi Revolut F1 Team, expanding an existing technical relationship between the software company and the Formula 1 team.
Under the deal, Elastic will serve as Official Race Partner for the 2026 United States Grand Prix and become Official Search and Observability Supplier from the 2027 season. Audi Revolut F1 Team already uses Elastic software to centralise and investigate technology logs across connected engineering applications, including selected trackside systems.
The agreement formalises a relationship already in place within the team's engineering operations. Elastic's technology underpins the team's central software logging platform, with Logstash collecting and processing application logs, Elasticsearch making them searchable, and Kibana providing dashboards and analysis.
That setup gives engineers a single place to review application logs, examine patterns and investigate software issues across connected applications. The team also uses Elastic at the track to investigate logs from wheel-set management software.
Existing use
The announcement highlights how Formula 1 teams increasingly rely on complex software environments alongside traditional car development and race operations. For Audi Revolut F1 Team, the focus is on reliability across systems that connect factory and trackside engineering work.
The partnership creates scope to widen the use of search and observability tools across more engineering applications. Current work focuses on helping engineers search software logs across connected systems, identify issues before they disrupt operations, and use dashboards, alerts and correlated logs to trace causes and responses.
Ash Kulkarni, Chief Executive Officer, Elastic, said: "The motorsport environment may be extreme, but the challenge is familiar to us. When critical operations depend on complex, distributed data, teams need to find what matters, understand what's happening, and act fast. Audi Revolut F1 Team already uses Elastic to give technical teams one place to search software logs and investigate issues across connected applications. We look forward to building on that work together and exploring how Search and Observability can support more of the team's engineering environment."
Engineering focus
The deal combines commercial branding with software operations already embedded in the team's workflow. Branding linked to the partnership is due to appear on the Audi R26 halo and headrest at the United States Grand Prix in Austin.
For Formula 1 teams, software observability is becoming more closely tied to day-to-day engineering efficiency as operations generate larger volumes of data from design, simulation, trackside tools and race support systems. Centralised logging systems help investigate faults, monitor application behaviour and reduce the time spent identifying the source of problems.
In this case, Elastic's role goes beyond a marketing tie-up because engineers are already using the technology in operational software systems. That sets the arrangement apart from sponsorship agreements where the technology link is limited or symbolic.
Three current areas of collaboration were outlined. The first is helping engineers find relevant information quickly across connected engineering systems in the factory and at the circuit. The second is using dashboards, alerts and correlated logs to identify issues before they consume engineering time. The third is building context from events, errors and patterns so software teams can reach answers more quickly.
Stefano Battiston, Chief Commercial and Brand Officer, Audi Revolut F1 Team, said: "We are proud to welcome Elastic for the first time into the fast-moving world of Formula 1. Data is of utmost importance in our sport, and Elastic is a brand that understands this and will help us to excel under pressure. Modern Formula 1 is built on data. Performance comes from finding the right signals in that data, understanding what's happening across complex systems, and acting quickly. We are excited to be partnering with Elastic and their world-class Search and Observability solutions, allowing our engineers to spot anomalies earlier and investigate faster."
