Endeavour & Jabil unveil rapid AI data centre platform for cloud
Endeavour and Jabil have announced a new strategic collaboration to provide gigawatt-scale just-in-time AI infrastructure for cloud and hyperscale customers.
The partnership will see the two companies combine technology and manufacturing capabilities to deliver modular, demand-responsive data centre infrastructure. This infrastructure, delivered via Endeavour's Edged data centre platform, is designed to align infrastructure provision with real-time customer requirements, aiming to eliminate capacity bottlenecks and mitigate the risk of overbuilding.
Cost and time efficiencies
According to the companies, the just-in-time model can reduce upfront capital investment by up to 90% and decrease the time required to commission new infrastructure by 50-60% compared to current industry norms. The model is anticipated to provide up to 2 gigawatts per year of elastic AI infrastructure capacity.
Jakob Carnemark, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Endeavour, commented on the collaboration's significance, stating:
"This collaboration represents the latest, and most critical, step in a 30-year journey in data center infrastructure. Our just-in-time model shifts the industry away from large, up-front capital investments based on current assumptions and long-range forecasts toward a more precise, incremental, and demand-driven approach. For our customers, this will materially improve capital efficiency, reduce risk, and accelerate time to value – while delivering the flexibility to respond dynamically to sudden shifts in the AI landscape."
The collaboration involves integrating Endeavour's next-generation data centre technologies with Jabil's expertise in manufacturing and global supply chain orchestration. The resulting infrastructure is both grid agnostic and equipped with advanced non-evaporative, chip-level cooling to meet the performance and power demands of AI workloads.
Manufacturing and supply chain
This initiative leverages Endeavour's US-based research and development and Jabil's recent USD $500 million commitment to domestic cloud and AI infrastructure manufacturing. This facility is anticipated to become operational by the middle of 2026, supporting accelerated deployment of critical infrastructure in the United States.
Matt Crowley, Executive Vice President of Global Business Units at Jabil, highlighted the complementary strengths of the two companies:
"By combining Endeavour's purpose-built technology stack and development expertise with Jabil's precision manufacturing, global sourcing, and supply chain execution, we're delivering a data center platform tailor-made for the fast-changing age of AI. By simultaneously addressing both the technological and business challenges our customers face in the AI era, we're ensuring that critical infrastructure accelerates, rather than constrains, the pace of innovation."
Operational deployment and future plans
The companies noted that this approach enables more rapid and flexible deployment of data centre infrastructure, supporting cloud service providers in responding to fluctuating demand and shifting customer needs. The model's faster commissioning timeline aims to boost capacity responsiveness and improve time to revenue for cloud operators.
Endeavour and Jabil have together participated in the development of over a dozen Edged data centres that are either operational or under construction across North America and Europe. The new just-in-time platform is scheduled for launch in the United States in the first quarter of 2027.
