INIU Outdoor has launched the Rugged 10000 portable power bank, the first product in its new Rugged Series for outdoor use.

The power bank is priced at USD $54.99, GBP £54.99 and EUR €54.99, although Target lists the Forest Camo version at USD $49.99.

The launch also marks the debut of INIU Outdoor, an adventure-focused division of portable charging brand INIU. The Rugged 10000 is aimed at day hikes, cycling, fishing and other light outdoor trips. The wider Rugged Series is also set to include a Rugged 20000 power bank and a 28W solar panel.

The Rugged 10000 has a 10,000mAh capacity, weighs 195.7g and includes two USB-C ports. It supports up to 45W charging and is designed for devices such as phones, GPS units, cameras, smartwatches, earbuds, headlamps and two-way radios.

According to INIU Outdoor, the unit has IP67 dust and water resistance and has been drop-tested to 1.2 metres under the MIL-STD-810G 516.6 standard. It also includes a sealed port cover, LED battery indicators and a built-in light with steady white, steady red and flashing red modes.

Mounting features are part of the outdoor design. Users can attach the power bank to a bag with a detachable carabiner or use a 1/4-inch-20 tripod thread to mount it while charging equipment such as GPS devices or cameras.

An automatic low-current mode is intended for smaller devices, including earbuds and headlamps. The power bank also includes an 18-layer protection system to address risks such as overheating, overcharging and short circuits.

According to the company's internal testing, the Rugged 10000 can deliver 1.7 charges for an iPhone 17 and 3.5 charges for a Garmin inReach Mini 3. The product is backed by a five-year warranty.

Outdoor push

The new division is entering a market in which portable power products are increasingly marketed not just for consumer electronics, but for outdoor activities that require lighter, more weather-resistant kit. By launching a separate outdoor brand, INIU is carving out a more specific position in a crowded category of compact battery packs and solar accessories.

INIU says it serves more than 40 million users across 174 countries and holds more than 100 patents. It also cited partnerships with Strava and the American Hiking Society as part of its push into the outdoor segment.

The Rugged Series expands beyond INIU's mainstream portable charging products into equipment tailored for harsher conditions. The focus is on resistance to dust, water and drops, while retaining a relatively small form factor for shorter trips rather than extended expeditions.

Recognition cited for the wider INIU brand includes iF Design, Red Dot and CES Innovation Awards. The Rugged 10000 measures 91mm by 57.5mm by 28mm, placing it at the compact end of the outdoor power bank market.

INIU says the device was built for real outdoor scenarios across hiking, cycling, angling and photography, with features intended to keep electronics charged in wet, dusty or low-light settings.
