Mauricio Pochettino has chosen Sportian Performance to support analytics for the United States Men's National Soccer Team. The platform will be used for match preparation and in-game analysis.

The deal gives Pochettino and his staff access to a system that brings together match video, tracking data and AI-based analysis in one place. Sportian, a sports technology division of Globant, says the platform is already used by all 42 professional clubs in LALIGA, as well as the Belgian Pro League and other football organisations.

The agreement reflects a broader shift among elite football teams to bring data tools closer to coaching decisions on matchday, rather than keeping them mainly within analyst departments. The system is designed for opposition study, live tactical review and post-match analysis.

Pochettino said the platform will form part of a broader analysis structure around the US team as it prepares for a major home tournament. He described the decision as part of an effort to improve the information available to coaches during games and in the build-up to them.

"Ahead of a historic World Cup, I believe strongly in giving my team every possible advantage. Sportian Performance offers a single workplace for our staff to analyse matches and make smarter calls in the moment, backed by solid data. It adds to the world-class analysis and technology environment we are building for our players and puts us in a position to deliver an unforgettable tournament," said Mauricio Pochettino, Head Coach, United States Men's National Soccer Team.

On the Touchline

Sportian says the software provides live data feeds, tactical video and automated alerts during matches. Those alerts can flag changes in tactical shape or physical thresholds, giving coaching staff new prompts while a game is under way.

Before matches, the platform is used to produce reports and player briefings based on video and performance data. The aim is to make tactical ideas easier to communicate on the training ground and in dressing rooms.

That reflects a shift in football analysis over the past two years, as clubs and national teams look for ways to turn large volumes of tracking and video data into faster decisions. Advances in software design and machine learning have made it easier for coaches to access information directly, rather than relying only on post-match reports from analysts.

Globant's sports business has built Sportian into a broader operation serving more than 50 competitions, federations, clubs and broadcasters. The group says it has operated within LALIGA since 2014, giving it a long-standing presence in one of Europe's biggest football markets.

Broader Push

The announcement also highlights Globant's effort to deepen its presence in sports technology through products aimed at both performance and commercial operations. According to the company, Sportian offers tools across fan data, content distribution, venue operations and on-field analysis.

For Globant, landing a high-profile international coach offers a visible example of how its sports products are being adopted by elite teams. Pochettino, one of the best-known managers in world football, now leads the US men's side during a period of intense attention on the team.

Nicolas Ávila, Chief Executive Officer of the Media, Entertainment, Sports & Hospitality AI Studio at Globant, linked the agreement to the growing use of data by top-level coaching staffs.

"The best data and AI tools in the hands of the best coaches is a powerful combination. We're delighted that Mauricio Pochettino has selected Globant's Sportian Performance to add further technological muscle to his coaching staff, and we're confident that it will help his team achieve some extraordinary feats this summer," said Ávila.

Sportian Chief Executive Officer Luis Ureta said the choice reflects a wider change in how football coaches approach analysis. His comments point to an environment where data is increasingly treated as part of day-to-day decision-making rather than as a specialist add-on.

"We are proud to be working with one of the world's most respected and sophisticated football coaches. Mauricio Pochettino's decision to use Sportian Performance is a reflection of a broader shift we are seeing across football: coaches who embrace data and AI to reduce complexity and anticipate outcomes. We look forward to supporting him and his staff throughout the tournament," said Ureta.
