Smart Communications appoints Satish Shenoy as partner chief

Mon, 30th Mar 2026

Smart Communications has appointed Satish Shenoy as Senior Vice President, Global Alliances and Partners, adding a senior executive to lead its worldwide partner strategy.

He will be responsible for expanding the company's network of technology partners, independent software vendors, global systems integrators and service providers, while also leading strategic alliances and broader collaboration across the partner ecosystem.

The appointment comes as Smart Communications looks to extend the reach of its multi-product Conversation Cloud platform, which serves customers in regulated industries. Partner sales and implementation channels are an important route to market for software suppliers in sectors such as financial services, insurance and healthcare, where buying decisions often involve consulting firms and specialist technology providers.

Shenoy brings more than two decades of experience in alliance management and partner development across software and technology businesses. He has held senior roles at Avaya, Moxo and ScoreData, leading alliance programmes in North America, Europe and Asia.

Most recently, he was Global Vice President of AI GTM & ISV Partnerships at SS&C Blue Prism, where he built a partner ecosystem spanning independent software vendors and global and regional systems integrators.

Dave Towers, Smart Communications' chief revenue officer, outlined the company's view of the role in a statement accompanying the announcement.

"Partners are a critical growth lever for Smart Communications as we continue to scale our platform globally," said Towers. "Satish brings deep expertise in building high-performing ecosystems that connect technology partners, services partners, and sales teams around shared outcomes. His leadership will help expand our global reach, strengthen our partner relationships, and accelerate the value we deliver to customers."

Partner focus

Smart Communications sells cloud software for customer communications and engagement. Its products are used by organisations that manage large volumes of regulated and personalised communications, where implementation and integration often depend on external partners.

Shenoy's remit includes building closer ties between software partners, service organisations and sales teams. That points to a strategy centred on joint selling and product collaboration, a common approach among software suppliers seeking to widen distribution without relying solely on direct sales.

For Smart Communications, the appointment signals a stronger emphasis on formal partner management as it expands internationally. Larger alliance networks can help software firms enter new markets, reach industry-specific buyers and integrate their products with technology stacks already used by customers.

Shenoy highlighted those opportunities in his own remarks.

"Smart has built a powerful platform and strong reputation with customers in highly regulated industries," said Shenoy. "By strengthening our global ecosystem and deepening collaboration with technology and services partners, we have a tremendous opportunity to accelerate innovation, expand customer value, and drive growth together."

Outside his corporate work, Shenoy co-founded Chirag, a nonprofit organisation that supports more than 2,500 children with special needs across the United States and India. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MS in Computer Science from Michigan State University.

Smart Communications did not disclose financial terms related to the appointment.
