Stevens Capital Partners tops USD $800 million AUM

Stevens Capital Partners has surpassed USD $800 million in assets under management and acquired a Dallas-based tax planning firm, adding more than 300 tax clients to the registered investment adviser's business.
The Omaha-based firm said the acquired practice has served individuals and business owners for more than three decades. It includes more than 100 business clients across 15 states, expanding Stevens Capital Partners' tax planning reach as it seeks to combine investment advice with tax, estate and philanthropic planning.
Stevens Capital Partners now serves clients in more than 40 states, with its largest concentrations in Nebraska and New York. Founded in 2020, the company said it reached the USD $800 million mark in less than six years and recorded 65% growth from 2025 to 2026 through organic expansion.
The acquisition is another step in its strategy to bring more financial services under one roof. Clients are increasingly seeking more integrated advice across investments, taxes, estate planning and charitable giving, particularly entrepreneurs, executives, business owners and multi-generational families, the firm said.
David Stevens, who founded the business after more than 20 years at TD Ameritrade, has positioned the company around a model that links financial planning with broader personal goals. The firm works with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and aims to help them coordinate decisions across multiple areas of wealth management rather than treat each separately.
That approach now extends to tax planning. By bringing in a CPA practice, the company is adding in-house tax relationships at a time when wealth advisers across the US are trying to deepen client ties by expanding the range of services they offer.
In a statement on the milestone, Stevens described how he views the business's role.
"For us, wealth management has never been just about growing a portfolio. It's about helping people use what they've built to create the life they want and the impact they hope to have. Whether that's supporting their children, preparing the next generation, or giving back to causes they care deeply about, we believe money has the greatest value when it's connected to purpose," said David Stevens, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Stevens Capital Partners.
Growth plan
The company's expansion comes as registered investment advisers continue to seek scale in a competitive market. Acquiring tax and planning businesses has become a common way for advisers to deepen client relationships and increase the share of financial decisions handled within one firm.
Stevens Capital Partners said its client retention rate is 99%. That figure, along with the latest acquisition, points to a business trying to balance organic growth with selective deals that add specialist expertise and broaden its service base.
The tax practice acquisition also gives the firm a larger presence in Texas. Although Stevens Capital Partners is based in Omaha, its client base is national, and it has built a footprint across more than 40 states in a relatively short time, the firm said.
Philanthropy focus
Alongside financial planning, the firm has sought to distinguish itself through charitable giving. It operates what it calls a 10% Mission, under which it contributes 10% of profit to community causes, and gives staff paid time off to volunteer with organisations including Ronald McDonald House Charities.
The philanthropic emphasis has been shaped in part by the personal experience of David and Natalia Stevens, whose son has undergone 18 eye surgeries over the past nine years, the company said. That experience led the family to support children's healthcare organisations including the Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation, which funds research into treatments for rare inherited retinal diseases and supports affected families.
Stevens linked the company's latest growth and acquisition activity to that broader view of wealth.
"It's about helping people use what they've built to create the life they want and the impact they hope to have," said Stevens.
