TCS expands Google Cloud tie-up with four AI offerings

Mon, 27th Apr 2026 (Today)

TCS has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud and introduced four new artificial intelligence offerings aimed at helping large companies move from pilot projects to autonomous operating models.

The new products cover data modernisation, factory operations and cyber security. One of them, the TCS Agentic AI Data Accelerator, can reduce data transition cycles by up to 40%.

The broader partnership also includes the use of Google Cloud's Gemini Enterprise platform across TCS services. TCS has built more than 3,000 industry-specific agents on the platform for customer environments.

The four launches are the TCS Agentic AI Data Accelerator, the TCS Physical AI Blueprint, the TCS Smart Factory Blueprint and TCS AI SOC enabled by Google SecOps. The manufacturing products use vision AI and agentic orchestration in industrial settings, while the security service is intended to speed up incident response and remediation.

The announcement reflects a wider push by technology services firms to turn early generative AI experiments into repeatable business services. Corporate buyers have spent the past two years testing AI tools in customer service, software development and internal operations, but many have struggled to move pilot schemes into large-scale production.

For TCS, the expanded partnership deepens ties with one of the world's largest cloud providers at a time when competition among IT services groups is increasingly focused on packaging AI tools into sector-specific offerings. Rather than selling a single horizontal tool, TCS is pitching a set of products designed for regulated and operationally sensitive environments.

Kevin Ichhpurani, President - Global Partner Ecosystem, Google Cloud, said the expanded relationship reflects the two companies' shared goal of driving enterprise transformation.

"The expansion of our strategic partnership with TCS is a testament to our shared commitment to driving true enterprise transformation. By combining Google Cloud's AI infrastructure with TCS' deep industry expertise and their 3,000+ specialized agents, we are empowering customers to move beyond pilots to fully autonomous, AI-native operating models," said Kevin Ichhpurani, President - Global Partner Ecosystem, Google Cloud.

Factory focus

A key part of the expansion is a stronger emphasis on manufacturing. TCS said its newest Gemini Experience Centre in Troy, Michigan, focuses on physical AI for manufacturing, where companies are using machine vision, automation and AI software to improve shop-floor processes and safety.

The consultancy is also increasing the number of these centres worldwide. Seven are currently operating, and TCS expects that total to rise to more than 10 by the end of 2026.

The centres are intended to give customers a place to test and develop AI use cases before wider deployment. They also help consulting and cloud providers turn technical partnerships into long-term commercial relationships by tying together software, cloud infrastructure and implementation work.

Cloud and security

The partnership places cloud infrastructure at the centre of TCS's AI strategy. Gemini Enterprise has been embedded across its portfolio, and related tools are also being extended internally through its tcsAI programme.

That internal rollout shows how large IT services companies are using AI in two ways at once: as a product to sell externally and as an operational tool to reshape their own delivery models. For firms with large workforces, the economics of AI adoption increasingly depend on whether the technology can improve productivity while meeting governance and security requirements.

Cyber security is another major part of the package. TCS AI SOC enabled by Google SecOps is designed to support faster incident response and remediation as companies face pressure to defend increasingly complex IT estates while integrating new AI systems into daily operations.

Gaurav Syal, VP and Global Head - Google Business, TCS, described cloud as the foundation for broader AI adoption.

"Cloud is a critical enabler for enterprise‐scale AI, forming the foundation layer on which AI‐native transformation is built. This next phase of our partnership will help enterprises move faster towards autonomous, AI‐native operating models, combining the strengths of TCS and Google Cloud to deliver measurable impact," said Gaurav Syal, VP and Global Head - Google Business, TCS.

TCS also pointed to external validation from Google Cloud, which recognised the company with five 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year Awards. Those included honours for AI Agent Development, infrastructure modernisation, talent development and managed security services.

One customer already using the two companies' technology outlined the business case for the collaboration.

"The collaboration with TCS and Google Cloud has enabled us to re imagine how cloud and AI drive productivity, innovation, and competitive advantage at scale," said Sudhakar Lingineni, CIO, C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC.
