Teleport named on Inc. 5000 for identity security growth
Teleport has been recognised in the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private American companies based on its revenue growth rate.
Recognition for identity security
This year's ranking highlights Teleport's performance in the identity security sector. Teleport focuses on helping organisations secure identity access in complex computing environments, including infrastructure utilised by some of the world's largest financial services and software companies.
The Inc. 5000 list ranks private companies in the United States that have demonstrated significant revenue growth over a three-year period. Previous honourees include established names such as Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, and others. To be eligible, qualifying companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 2021 and have reached a minimum revenue benchmark between 2021 and 2024.
Ev Kontsevoy, Teleport Chief Executive Officer, commented on the company's inclusion in the list, stating:
"Teleport's growth and inclusion on the Inc. 5000 validates our focus on securing identities at scale. Traditional tools cannot keep up with the complexities of modern infrastructure. Each new technology requires a different tool to manage access, creating blind spots that malicious actors can easily leverage. An infrastructure identity approach solves this problem. Teleport has been leading the way in securing infrastructure, and demand for infrastructure identity has been rapidly rising. We work with more than 500 companies. This includes 3 out of the top five financial services firms and 30% of the top ten software firms,"
Teleport's platform provides unified cryptographic identities for a diverse range of users and assets, including humans, machines, workloads, endpoints, infrastructure resources, and artificial intelligence agents. By consolidating access controls into a single platform, the company aims to address the security challenges arising from fragmented access management across various technologies.
Approach to modern infrastructure challenges
The complexity of modern digital infrastructure often requires disparate access tools for varied technology stacks, a situation Teleport says can create blind spots within organisations. Its approach is designed to provide organisations a holistic view of access within their IT environment, enforcing policies across all identities regardless of their type.
"Making the Inc. 5000 is always a remarkable achievement, but earning a spot this year speaks volumes about a company's tenacity and clarity of vision," said Mike Hofman, Editor-in-Chief of Inc. "These businesses have thrived amid rising costs, shifting global dynamics, and constant change. They didn't just weather the storm - they grew through it, and their stories are a powerful reminder that the entrepreneurial spirit is the engine of the U.S. economy."
Teleport reports that its solutions are used by more than 500 organisations globally, including three of the top five financial services companies and a significant portion of the top software firms. The company states its infrastructure identity approach can help future-proof information security as enterprises continue to integrate new technologies and artificial intelligence workloads.
Methodology
The Inc. 5000 list is compiled based on self-reported revenue growth from 2021 to 2024. Only independent, for-profit firms based in the United States and not subsidiaries of other companies are considered. The list is reviewed by Inc., which holds discretion in accepting or declining applicants for inclusion. The minimum revenue requirements for consideration were USD $100,000 in 2021 and USD $2 million in 2024.
Teleport's ongoing position on the Inc. 5000 list signals wider recognition of security priorities among infrastructure and engineering teams and continued demand for access and identity management solutions across diverse business sectors.
