Archive360 has partnered with Caju AI on governance for business communications across digital messaging channels.

The joint offering is intended to bring mobile and chat communications into the same governance framework as email and collaboration tools. It covers channels such as WhatsApp, SMS, iMessage, Signal, Telegram and WeChat, alongside platforms including Microsoft Teams and Slack.

The partnership reflects a broader shift in how companies communicate internally and with customers. As conversations spread across consumer messaging apps and workplace software, regulated businesses face growing pressure to retain records, supervise exchanges and respond to investigations or disclosure requests.

Archive360 and Caju AI said the combined system links real-time communications oversight with retention, search, discovery and access controls. Under the arrangement, Caju AI captures mobile and digital communications and applies policy controls as conversations take place, while Archive360 stores the records and related context in a governed environment.

The companies also tied the partnership to the rise of AI agents in customer and employee interactions. They said the increase in automated and human conversations across multiple channels is raising new questions around privacy, data residency, recordkeeping and legal hold requirements.

For businesses in regulated sectors, those issues can have direct operational and legal consequences. Communications that take place outside established archiving and supervision processes can leave gaps in records, complicate internal reviews and make it harder to produce complete audit trails for regulators or courts.

Broader coverage

The joint service is already deployed across Archive360's customer base. One use case is governing business communications across email, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Signal, Telegram and WhatsApp within a single environment for retention and supervision.

Bringing those channels together can help organisations apply retention schedules and legal holds more consistently. A unified archive may also make it easier to support investigations, regulatory examinations and eDiscovery requests by preserving records in a searchable, auditable form.

That focus on cross-channel governance has grown more prominent as employees use a wider mix of approved and consumer apps for business conversations. Financial services firms, government bodies and other regulated organisations have faced scrutiny in recent years over failures to capture messages sent outside official systems.

Caju AI specialises in governance for next-generation communications and customer relationship management platforms. Its software is designed to oversee digital exchanges between people and AI agents, with policy, security and compliance controls applied in real time.

Archive360 focuses on data and AI governance for regulated organisations and government agencies. It said it is used by more than 2,000 organisations worldwide and manages more than 160 petabytes of data in the cloud.

Executive views

Jerry Caviston outlined the case for combining specialist tools rather than relying on a single supplier across every communications channel.

"Enterprises need comprehensive governance across an expanding universe of digital communications, but a single vendor rarely delivers equal depth across every channel and capability," said Jerry Caviston, Chief Executive Officer, Archive360.

"By combining Caju AI's specialized communications capture, real-time policy enforcement and intelligence with Archive360's enterprise retention, discovery and governance capabilities, we give organizations the breadth of an integrated platform without sacrificing best-of-breed depth and flexibility," Caviston said.

Otavio Freire said the growing role of AI in day-to-day communications is changing the governance challenge for companies.

"Digital communications have become central to how business gets done, and AI agents are beginning to participate in those conversations," said Otavio Freire, Chief Executive Officer, Caju AI.

"Our partnership with Archive360 connects real-time governance with enterprise retention and discovery, helping organizations extend consistent controls to the channels their employees, customers and AI agents use while creating a foundation for actionable intelligence," Freire said.
