CrowdStrike named AWS Agentic AI partner to secure cloud AI
CrowdStrike has been named an inaugural Amazon Web Services (AWS) Agentic AI Specialization Partner, reflecting its expertise in managing and securing agentic artificial intelligence workloads on AWS. The announcement highlights CrowdStrike's involvement with AWS's new Agentic AI Specialization, which is part of the AWS AI Competency initiative.
Recognition for expertise
The AWS Agentic AI Specialization indicates that CrowdStrike supports clients in deploying intelligent and secure agentic AI systems for cybersecurity operations. The company is focusing on environments where human analysts work in conjunction with AI-driven agents to help reduce breach risks and scale autonomy in security systems.
Agentic security approach
CrowdStrike's platform integrates several components to support an agentic security operations centre (SOC). The company's Agentic Security Platform provides an AI-ready data layer designed to give comprehensive context for both machine agents and human analysts. This aims to ensure data signals within an organisation's environment are immediately actionable.
The Agentic Security Workforce offers AI agents trained on years of real-world expertise, leveraging insight from the Falcon Complete managed detection and response service and CrowdStrike's incident response engagements. Another offering, Charlotte AI AgentWorks, allows organisations to develop and customise their own agents without requiring programming skills. Charlotte Agentic SOAR acts as an orchestration layer for both proprietary and third-party agents, enabling them to operate together under the direction of human expertise.
Securing the AI lifecycle
CrowdStrike is enhancing its ability to protect the full range of AI applications and services that clients build on AWS. This includes safeguarding large language models and other workloads used in agentic AI implementations. Collaboration with AWS has focussed on cloud security tools such as AI workload protection, container image scanning, and integrations with Amazon services including SageMaker, Bedrock, and IAM Identity Centre.
The recent acquisition of Pangea expands CrowdStrike's protection to the interaction layer, which handles prompts and system commands throughout the AI lifecycle. This addition introduces what CrowdStrike terms the industry's first complete AI Detection and Response (AIDR) capability aimed at monitoring and protecting against threats at every stage.
Industry collaboration
CrowdStrike and AWS say they are working together to ensure that customers can safely build, deploy, and manage agentic AI systems in cloud environments. Security, automation, and scalability are described as central to their approach, with both partners aiming to offer a foundation of trust for enterprise adoption of agentic AI.
"Agentic AI is transforming how every organization operates, but only secure AI can scale with confidence and trust," said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer, CrowdStrike. "As an inaugural AWS Agentic AI Specialization Partner, CrowdStrike is operationalizing and securing the next generation of autonomous AI systems for customers on AWS, empowering them to innovate safely, operate efficiently, and accelerate into the agentic era."
