DXC, Boomi team up for AI automation & IT modernisation

Wed, 20th Aug 2025

DXC Technology and Boomi have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating enterprise automation, application modernisation, and the scalable adoption of agentic systems using artificial intelligence.

The collaboration will see DXC deploying cloud-native integration solutions to help organisations replace existing middleware and speed up their digital transformation initiatives. In partnership with enterprise platforms, DXC and Boomi plan to co-create solutions and reusable assets to simplify the modernisation journey for their mutual clients.

As part of the partnership, the companies aim to streamline the migration of legacy systems by combining Boomi's automation platform, which uses AI, with DXC's engineering expertise. This combination is designed to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making by connecting key business processes across order management, logistics, inventory, and finance.

The agreement also focuses on agentic transformation, leveraging DXC's ability to manage large IT estates with Boomi's Agentstudio platform. Agentstudio will be used to run AI agents securely and efficiently across critical organisational systems, thus enabling enterprises to orchestrate AI operations at scale.

Commenting on the partnership, T.R. Newcomb, Chief Revenue Officer at DXC Technology, said:

"Many enterprises today are overwhelmed by disconnected systems and technical debt, facing immense pressure to modernize while ensuring security, continuity and compliance. We're thrilled to partner with Boomi to help our customers accelerate their transformations, delivering seamless integration and AI agent management that positions them for success with agentic AI."

Boomi's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Steve Lucas, addressed the role of agentic transformation, stating:

"Agentic transformation isn't a future trend - it's an enterprise imperative. Together with DXC, Boomi is helping customers replace outdated architectures with intelligent, agent-driven infrastructure that's faster to build, easier to govern, and ready for whatever's next. This partnership gives enterprises a direct path to modernization, automation, and long-term AI readiness."

Among the pillars of the initiative is the launch of a Boomi Centre of Excellence (COE) at DXC. The COE will function as an innovation and delivery hub, supplying best practices, reusable resources, and support for client projects globally. The goal is to provide clients with a standardised and high-quality modernisation process that also emphasises data privacy, governance, and compliance considerations.

Dan McAllister, Senior Vice President of Global Alliances at Boomi, described the strategic partnership as a major step in the evolution of business operations:

"The strategic partnership between Boomi and DXC isn't just about connecting systems - it's about reimagining how businesses run in an AI-first world. Together, we're collapsing complexity and accelerating transformation at the core of the enterprise."

According to details provided by both companies, the new joint approach will give developers a common interface to connect applications or platforms. This standardisation is intended to allow enterprises to construct new digital infrastructure that is faster to build, more secure, and simpler to manage, laying a foundation for safe and scalable AI deployment across front-end and back-end systems.

Through DXC's relationships with other enterprise providers, including SAP and ServiceNow, the company says joint clients will benefit from improved integration across a broad range of business functions. This prepares organisations to take advantage of the full spectrum of agentic AI capabilities, which include AI agents that can learn, collaborate, and operate as a coordinated system.

Both DXC and Boomi highlight that their partnership is focused on delivering tangible enterprise value through enhanced operational efficiency, robust security, and automation. The collaboration is set to target clients across multiple sectors seeking to overhaul their IT environments and enable the adoption of AI-driven processes at scale.
