PPDS appoints Tom Keefe as Director of Sales for dvLED

PPDS has appointed Tom Keefe as Director of Sales, dvLED North America, expanding its sales leadership for LED displays in the region.

Keefe will report to Senior Director North America Bruce Wyrwitzke. He will help shape the company's dvLED sales structure in North America and execute its route-to-market strategy for the category.

Based in Buffalo, New York, Keefe brings more than two decades of AV experience, including seven years focused on dvLED, and holds an AVIXA CTS certification.

His background includes sales, business development, category management, marketing strategy, distribution, partner management and market analysis. PPDS is aiming to grow its Philips Professional Displays business in North America across indoor and outdoor dvLED projects.

Market growth

PPDS is making the hire as demand for LED display systems rises across several commercial markets, including retail, transportation, entertainment and digital out-of-home advertising.

Industry forecasts cited by the company estimate the global LED display market at USD $2.41 billion in 2026, rising to about USD $3.46 billion by 2035. The United States is expected to remain the largest market by revenue during that period.

PPDS said its recent move into outdoor LED has expanded the range of projects it can pursue. The company also pointed to installations in retail, corporate settings, public venues, sports stadiums and houses of worship.

North America focus

Keefe's role will focus on building out the company's regional sales approach. PPDS said it aims to deepen engagement with internal sales and management teams, channel partners and end customers, while raising awareness of its Philips LED range.

The company has been expanding its North American operation as part of a wider international strategy. The appointment suggests dvLED is becoming a more distinct focus within that plan, particularly as suppliers pursue a larger share of spending on digital signage and large-format display projects.

Discussing the appointment, Keefe outlined his priorities for the role.

"My background in sales, business development and product management, along with my dvLED experience, gives me the tools required to continue driving and improving PPDS performance in North America."
